Pricing: NotaryPro vs. Walk-In Notary

Both NotaryPro and Walk-In Notary offer comparable pricing models, with some notable differences. We’ll look at pricing for online notary services, document drafting, business notary needs, and mobile notary services. Learn which company offers a better deal for your requirements!

NotaryPro’s Online Notary Services Pricing

NotaryPro charges $40.95 for an online notary appointment, which includes an embossed seal and signature. If you want instant service within 5 minutes, it costs an additional $8.95. This brings the total price to $49.90 for an instant service without an appointment.

Additional notary seals cost $40.95. If you needed an extra witness for Virtual Witnessing Services, you’d pay $12.95. See our detailed pricing list here for more information.

Walk-In Notary’s Online Notary Services Pricing

Walk-In Notary charges $49.99 for its first notary seal. Additional seals are $24.99, although most documents only require one. Walk-In Notary claims it offers the lowest price for walk-in notary services, which isn’t the case.

Its price for walk-in service (without an appointment) is the same as NotaryPro’s Instant Online Service, which also doesn’t require an appointment. NotaryPro’s instant service can be compared to a virtual walk-in service.

Although both instant services cost the same amount, you have to make the commute to one of Walk-In Notary’s offices. This requires extra time and effort, so the service isn’t truly instant. NotaryPro’s instant solution enables you to meet with a notary online on demand, from anywhere, without leaving your home or office.

NotaryPro’s Live Document Drafting Pricing

With NotaryPro, you can have a professional draft a document for you for $99.95. This price includes instant, live drafting during a call with a notary, and virtual commissioning. The price for drafting your document stays consistent, regardless of your document’s complexity.

You can schedule your document drafting appointment for a time most convenient for you. This convenient service enables you to have documents drafted in 15 minutes, without any delays. Clients with urgent personal and business requirements appreciate the efficiency of our drafting service.

Walk-In Notary’s Document Drafting Pricing

Walk-In Notary offers document drafting services from $69.99 to $149.99. The types of documents they can draft are limited, and include Letters of Invitation, travel consent letters, Affidavits, Statutory Declarations and more. This price doesn’t include notary services, so at minimum, you’d be paying $119.98 for drafting and notary services. You also don’t get your document instantly, and have to wait an indeterminate amount of time for it to be drafted.

You can also set up a NotaryPro+ Business Account for $35/month. The NotaryPro+ Account includes one notary appointment every month, and you can enjoy 25% off all services thereafter. You can save time with an account by saving your payment information and ID to your profile for faster checkout and booking.

Walk-In Notary’s Business Pricing

Walk-In Notary doesn’t mention any business packages or pricing options for business clients on its website.

NotaryPro’s Mobile Services Pricing

If you’re not able to attend an appointment in person or online, you can have an expert notary come to you. NotaryPro operates across Canada, and its Mobile Notary Service is available in any area that we service. NotaryPro’s mobile service fee starts at $54.95, in addition to the regular notary services fee ($40.95). All together, you’ll be paying $95.90. Sometimes, there may be a slight fee increase for appointments requiring over 1 hour of travel time.

Walk-In Notary’s Mobile Services Pricing Walk-in Notary charges a travel fee of between $139-$599. In addition to the travel fee, you must pay a notary services fee of $49.99 for the first seal. This means that you’ll be paying at least $190 for notary services, including the travel fee.

Pricing: The Verdict

NotaryPro charges $40.95 for an online notary appointment, which includes one notary seal. The overwhelming majority of documents require just one seal. You don’t need to commute to an office, and you can attend the appointment from anywhere with Wi-Fi. Walk-In Notary is more expensive, at $49.99 for a walk-in appointment and one notary seal. NotaryPro is the clear winner when it comes to price and convenience.

Online Commissioning: NotaryPro vs. Walk-In Notary

Both NotaryPro and Walk-In Notary allow you to get documents commissioned online. See the differences between each company’s online services to choose the right one for you.

Online Notary Services with NotaryPro

NotaryPro offers online commissioning services from anywhere with Wi-Fi, from any device with a camera. You can access commissioning services from any location with a laptop, smartphone or tablet. You can commission documents from your home, office, job site, or on the go while waiting at the airport. You don’t need to commute to an office or even book an appointment in advance. The best part? You can complete the entire process from your home or office in under 10 minutes, without the commute. For urgent notary needs, NotaryPro offers instant appointments with no delay. You can simply click “Online Notary Services” to meet with a notary right away. We also offer virtual witnessing services for estate documents, like Wills or Powers of Attorney.

Online Notary Services with Walk-In Notary

Walk-In Notary also offers an online notary service, but you cannot book an appointment easily. You must email the company and wait to hear back about your appointment. Additionally, you need to send them two pieces of ID via email, which is a less secure method than using a trusted online platform. Additionally, if you want an electronic copy of your document sent to your email, you need to pay an extra fee.

Online Notary Services: The Verdict

NotaryPro delivers flexible online commissioning services that you can access from any connected device, at any time. If you have timely notary needs, you’ll likely prefer NotaryPro’s instant service and flexible scheduling. You can meet with a notary in a few clicks and enjoy a trusted and secure platform, where ID is never sent over email. NotaryPro is the better option when it comes to efficiency, convenience, and security.

Booking with Walk-In Notary

Walk-In Notary offers in-person and online appointments. Its in-person appointments are on a walk-in basis only, and the hours are very limited. They offer walk-ins from 8:30 or 9:00 until 4:30 or 5:00 depending on the location. They don’t offer in-person notary services in the evenings or on weekends. If you’re looking for a walk-in appointment outside of typical working hours, you’ll have to look elsewhere.

For its online services, you cannot book in advance. You must fill out a contact form on its website, provide two pieces of ID, and scan and upload your documents. You then have to wait for someone to get back to you. The website doesn’t mention any scanning technology or tell you how long you’ll wait for a response.

Booking: The Verdict

NotaryPro offers a superior booking experience. You can choose from a wide range of appointment options and seamlessly schedule appointments in minutes with no delay. For online services, you can scan and upload your document in seconds using your smartphone. With Walk-In Notary, you can’t book in-person services in advance and may have to wait. Additionally, you have to wait for someone to respond to your email before booking an online appointment.

The Verdict: NotaryPro vs. Walk-In Notary

Choosing the right notary means weighing the convenience, speed, and overall experience each company offers. NotaryPro and Walk-In Notary both offer compelling services, and your decision will depend on your unique needs. NotaryPro is proud to offer more affordable pricing and convenient, flexible services that work around your busy schedule.

You can meet with a notary instantly, without leaving your house or commuting to an office. It also offers better prices for document drafting and notary services for one seal, which is usually all you need. Further, it has more affordable pricing for mobile notary services if you require in-person services but cannot commute.

Lastly, if you want business perks for notary services, NotaryPro is the clear winner, as Walk-In Notary doesn’t offer any. Walk-In Notary delivers the convenience of walk-in services without booking an appointment. That said, you may have to wait in a lobby, as it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. It also doesn’t offer instant online service, and it’s not clear how long you’d wait for an appointment.

It also doesn’t offer any business perks, so it’s mainly geared toward individuals. For those seeking a streamlined, modern approach to commissioning that works around their schedule, NotaryPro is the obvious choice.  Whether you’re an individual or a business seeking efficient solutions, NotaryPro guarantees a trustworthy, high-quality notary experience.
